Smoothie Bowls

Sometimes for breakfast we want something sweet, but not too sweet like cookies or cakes, and something nourishing and filling that doesn't weigh you down as much as oatmeal. It's in these mornings that I love serving myself a delicious smoothie bowl.


Below, I will share some of my favorite smoothie bowl recipes, and I'll try to point out some of their nutritional benefits. I will be updating new smoothie bowls onto this list instead of creating various separate posts.


Sweet Beet Iron Boost


You get plenty of iron from the beet; protein from the spinach, chia seeds, and nuts; Vitamin D from the orange, C from the carrot, B12 from the nutritional yeast; as well as many other nutritional benefits from the other ingredients, such as antioxidants in the berries.
